Magnitude 8.2 earthquake strikes Alaska, tsunami watch issued for US West Coast

It was a 7.9. And the tsunami warning was cancelled about 4 am AST. The epicenter was about 250 miles from me. We felt it, as did most Alaskans; it was long, but not particularly intense. Felt more like 6.5. We've had 17 aftershocks that were over 5; didn't feel them at all.
