Rush Limbaugh "We should not be surprised by the Left's Racist Hit Job on Herman Cain"

RUSH:  You know, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, folks.  After all of these years, none of us should be surprised, but I still am.  Look at how quickly what is known as the mainstream media goes for the ugliest racial stereotypes they can to attack a black conservative.  You know who's laughing himself silly today is Bill Clinton.  (imitating Clinton) "Yeah, I really did it.  Ha-ha.  They praised me and they went as far out of their way as they could.  Even my old buddy Carville is out there and he's saying, 'Look what happens when you drag a dollar bill through a trailer park, you get Paula Jones.'  I have everybody defending me and they're going after this black guy, and they're going after him with some of the ugliest racial stereotypes I have ever seen.  That's how our side does it; we get away with it.  I just love it.  I love watching it."
What's next, folks?  A cartoon on MSNBC showing Herman Cain with huge lips eating a watermelon?  What are they gonna do next?  No, Snerdley, I'm not kidding.  The racial stereotypes that these people are using to go after Herman Cain, what is the one thing that it tells us?  It tells us who the real racists are, yeah, but it tells us that Herman Cain is somebody.  Something's going on out there. Herman Cain obviously is making some people nervous for this kind of thing to happen.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Let's do this Herman Cain story.  I started out by talking about Clinton, and Bill Clinton must be laughing himself sick over this hit job from The Politico on Cain.  And Cain now has denied it, without question.  He has categorically denied any of this.  But a story like this involving Bill Clinton, why, Clinton would be getting high fives, millions of dollars of campaign contributions from the NAGs.  If this story were about Bill Clinton, the left would be circling the wagons doing everything they can to fend off the charge.  I mean this story is a joke that can only truly be appreciated by Clinton and other sexual predators.  The sources, which include the recollections of close associates and other documentation, describe episodes that left the women upset and offended.
"These incidents include conversations allegedly filled with innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature, taking place at hotels during conferences, at other officially sanctioned restaurant association events and at the association’s offices. There were also descriptions of physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable."  What the hell could that be?  Need help here.  What physical gestures that were not overtly sexual, what could they be that would make you uncomfortable that would fall in line with sexual harassment?  What in the world could they be?  (interruption)  Well, that would be overtly sexual if he did that.  There were descriptions of physical gestures that were not overtly sexual.  Licked his lips with his tongue while looking at them.  Well, dream on.  "Made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regarded as improper in a professional relationship." That appears to be it.  That appears to be it. Now, we don't have any evidence of ice packs on a busted lip as we had with Juanita Broaddrick and Bill Clinton.  Yeah, Bill Clinton and Juanita Broaddrick, "Hey babe, you better put some ice on that, you're bleeding at the lip."  We don't have any of that.  This story appears to me to be a close relative of the hit job that the Washington Post is doing on Marco Rubio.  It's not a news story.  This is gutter partisan politics, and it's the politics of minority conservative personal destruction, is what you've got here.  Rubio and Cain unfit to lead, don't you see. We cannot have a black Republican running for the office of president.  We can't have one elected.  We can't have an Hispanic.

OOPS! Turns out there has been NO Global Warming in the last 13 years!

Heard the one about World Temps have been increasing?   Not so fast - turns out Global Temperatures have been stable for the last 13 years!
Today The Mail on Sunday can reveal that a leading member of Prof Muller’s team has accused him of  trying to mislead the public by hiding the fact that BEST’s research shows global warming has stopped. Prof Judith Curry, who chairs the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at America’s prestigious Georgia Institute of Technology, said that Prof Muller’s claim that he has proven global warming sceptics wrong was also a ‘huge mistake’, with no  scientific basis.  Prof Curry is a distinguished climate researcher with more than 30 years experience and the second named co-author of the BEST project’s four research papers.  Her comments, in an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, seem certain to ignite a furious academic row. She said this affair had to be compared to the notorious ‘Climategate’ scandal two years ago.
In fact, Prof Curry said, the project’s research data show there has been no increase in world temperatures since the end of the Nineties – a fact confirmed by a new analysis that The Mail on Sunday has obtained.  ‘There is no scientific basis for saying that warming hasn’t stopped,’ she said. ‘To say that there is detracts from the credibility of the data, which is very unfortunate.’
However, Prof Muller denied warming was at a standstill. ‘We see no evidence of it [global warming] having slowed down,’ he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. There was, he added, ‘no levelling off’.  A graph issued by the BEST project also suggests a continuing steep increase.
The graph that fooled the world
But a report to be published today by the Global Warming Policy Foundation includes a graph of world average temperatures over the past ten years, drawn from the BEST project’s data and revealed on its website.  This graph shows that the trend of the last decade is absolutely flat, with no increase at all – though the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have carried on rising relentlessly.  ‘This is nowhere near what the  climate models were predicting,’ Prof Curry said. ‘Whatever it is that’s going on here, it doesn’t look like it’s being dominated by CO2.’  Prof Muller also wrote an article for the Wall Street Journal. It was here, under the headline ‘The case against global warming scepticism’, that he proclaimed ‘there were good reasons for doubt until now’. This, too, went around the world, with The Economist, among many others, stating there was now ‘little room for doubt’.  Such claims left Prof Curry horrified. ‘Of course this isn’t the end of scepticism,’ she said. ‘To say that is the biggest mistake he [Prof Muller] has made. When I saw he was saying that I just thought, “Oh my God”.’In fact, she added, in the wake of the unexpected global warming standstill, many climate scientists who had previously rejected sceptics’ arguments were now taking them much more seriously. They were finally addressing questions such as the influence of clouds, natural temperature cycles and solar radiation – as they should have done, she said, a long time ago.  Yesterday Prof Muller insisted that neither his claims that there has not been a standstill, nor the graph, were misleading because the project had made its raw data available on its  website, enabling others to draw their own graphs.  However, he admitted it was true that the BEST data suggested that world temperatures have not risen for about 13 years. But in his view, this might not be ‘statistically significant’,  although, he added, it was equally  possible that it was – a statement which left other scientists mystified.

GLOBAL WARMING UPDATE:

Snow hits New York before Halloween for the fourth time since the Civil War as East Coast hunkers down for a VERY chilling weekend

  • Earliest New York City one-inch snowfall predicted since the Civil War
  • Snowstorms already hitting Massachusetts and New England
  • 10,000 people without power in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia
  • Parts of Connecticut could get a foot of snow this weekend
  • Some areas expecting OVER 13 inches!
  • Since record keeping began NYC has never had an inch of snow in October
New York has today been hit by snowfall before Halloween for only the fourth time since the Civil War.  The North East is bracing for a chilling weekend as 60 million people are expected to experience a rare October snowstorm, which will unleash heavy, wet snow and wind.  New England has already been struck by a very early snowfall and 10,000 residents in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia were today without power after snow, according to AccuWeather.com.This weekend looks set to see huge amounts of sleet and snow covering the North East, invariably causing power outages and travel chaos. Some areas bracing for up to a foot of snow.
Read more about the October blizzard here.

And more from Accuweather:
A foot of heavy wet, back-breaking snow will plaster areas north and west of I-95 Saturday, causing massive power outages, downed trees and travel nightmares. The storm will hit hard and fast, traveling from southwest to northeast over the mid-Atlantic and New England in less than 24 hours. In most of the mid-Atlantic the storm began as rain, but a change to snow will progress throughout the day. The heaviest snow from the storm will stretch from along the Virginia/West Virginia border through a large swath of central and eastern Pennsylvania to southeastern New York state, northwestern New Jersey, northern Connecticut, central and western Massachusetts to southern New Hampshire and southwestern Maine.
Cities and towns that are likely to receive the heaviest snowfall include: Torrington, Conn., Hagerstown, Md., Springfield, Mass., Nashua, N.H., Netcong, N.J., Kingston, N.Y., Honesdale, Pa., Winchester, Va., Brattleboro, Vt. and Martinsburg, W.Va. In these areas and others over the interior Northeast, the snow will come down hard enough to accumulate on the roads making for slippery driving. The worst conditions will be in the hilly areas and the mountains, where slightly lower temperatures are in store. Thousands of trees could come down, and over a million people could be without power. Some rural roads could be blocked for days by fallen trees. Driving or walking through wooded areas during and immediately following the storm could be dangerous.

Death of an American hero: Decorated repeatedly, soldier who went to war for his country 14 times is killed by Taliban bomb

  • Sergeant Kristoffer B. Domeij was a 10-year veteran and is set to receive posthumous Purple Heart
  • He is now the Elite Ranger with most deployments to be killed in action - the previous record was 12
  • He was one of the team that rescued Jessica Lynch from captors in Iraq in 2003
  • One of three soldiers who died in an IED explosion near Kandahar province
Killed in action: Kristoffer Domeij died in Afghanistan on his 14th deployment with the Elite Army Rangers
Killed in action: Kristoffer Domeij died in Afghanistan on his 14th deployment with the Elite Army Rangers
The United States Army has lost one of its most courageous and decorated heroes.
Sergeant 1st Class Kristoffer B. Domeij was one of three soldiers killed by a roadside bomb last Saturday near Kandahar Province.
Amazingly, the elite ranger, who died when the team triggered an improvised device, was serving his 14th deployment at the time.
In a remarkable career, Sgt. Domeij was decorated a number of times - and topping the lot will be the Purple Heart that military chiefs have confirmed he will be awarded posthumously.
The husband and father-of-two from San Diego will go down in U.S. Army history as one of the team who rescued rescued Private Jessica Lynch from her Iraqi captors in 2003.
A 10-year veteran of the Army Rangers special operations team, Sgt. Domeij has the unwanted distinction of becoming the Ranger with the most deployments to date to be killed in action.
His death saw him supersede a marker laid down 13 months ago when fellow Ranger SFC Lance Vogeler was killed in Afghanistan during his 12th deployment.
He was also one of the first ground soldiers qualified as a Ranger Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), which meant he was able to coordinate Air Force and Navy air attacks from his ground position. The position is usually reserved Air Force personnel.
The 75th Ranger Regiment typically deploys on 105-day deployments, shorter than the average year-long Army or marine deployment, but they are acknowledged as unusually intense tours with one operation every single night.
Conventional troops may have completed four or five deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan but Special Operations troops such as Domeij are more likely to have have served 10-12. Even by those higher standards, his record of 14 tours was a rare feat.
Domeij had a combined total of 48 months deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan alone, Tracy Bailey, a spokesperson for the 75th Ranger Regiment.
All told, he likely spent close to four years serving in war zones.
He was lauded by said Colonel Mark W. Odom, commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment who said: 'Sgt. Domeij was the prototypical special operations NCO... veteran of a decade of deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan and hundreds of combat missions.
'His ability to employ fire support platforms made him a game changer on the battlefield — an operator who in real terms had the value of an entire strike force on the battlefield.'
He was also remembered by 75th Ranger Regiment's Lt. Col. David Hodne as 'one of those men who was known by all as much for his humour, enthusiasm, and loyal friendship, as he was for his unparallelled skill and bravery under fire,'

Fisker-gate: $529 Million to build Electric Cars in Finland!

Amazing.  The Obama Administration just gave Fisker Automobile $529 million US tax payer loan to make cars in Finland. In 2009, Democrats rejected Rep. Murphy's 'Buy American' language that would have stopped tax dollars from being spent to create jobs overseas.

Washington Post Fact Checks Biden's about Rising Crime Rates:

When is a decrease being called a "tripling" of the same rate?  When you are Joe Biden.  The Washington Post does a fantastic job fact checking the story we blogged about with below.  Kudos Washington Post - they gave Biden FOUR PINOCCHIO'S for this whopper!
Flint is certainly a violent city, ranked number one in many categories. The website of the Flint Police Department only gives data through 2008, but both the FBI and the Michigan State Police have more recent figures that are provided to them by the Flint police. The numbers are not precisely the same because of different reporting requirements, but they are roughly the same—and show a different picture than reported by Biden.
The Flint website for 2008 shows the same figures that Biden cited: 35 murders and 91 rapes.
Here’s what the FBI shows:
2008
City of Flint: 32 murders, 103 rapes
Surrounding area: 37 murders, 239 rapes
RATE PER 100,000 INHABITANTS: murder, 8.6; rape 55.5
2009
City of Flint: 36 murders, 91 rapes
Surrounding area: 44 murders, 235 rapes
RATE PER 100,000 INHABITANTS: murder, 10.3; rape, 55.1
2010
City of Flint: 53 murders, 92 rapes
Surrounding area: 58 murders, 225 rapes
RATE PER 100,000 INHABITANTS: murder, 13.8; rape 53.7
More important than the raw figures is the rate per 100,000 individuals. Murder did go up—though the rate did not double from 2009 to 2010, as Biden claimed. But rape has gone down. Biden actually asserted it had tripled.
The statement, however, was strangely silent on the massive discrepancy in the rape statistics. There have been a number of studies (see here and here) that document that the FBI statistics do not capture all forms of rape. The FBI stats include forcible intercourse but not oral sex or other forms of sexual assault.
But that issue does not explain why Biden’s rape statistics would be so much higher than what was reported in the local press over the years. The Flint Journal on May 24, in fact, reported the number of rapes had declined in the city from 2009 to 2010.
Jones, in an interview, said that the city had never released the broader rape figure to the public until the vice president’s office requested the data. “We have never shared that number,” she said, agreeing that it was strange that Flint’s official rape figure for 2008—91--was actually lower than the FBI figure for that year, even with the FBI’s more narrow definition of rape.

Herman Cain's 9-9-9 Plan Explained

Herman Cain released this outstanding infomercial explaining his 9-9-9 Tax Plan.

Hope and Change: Federal Workers make over $126,000 on average!

Amazing.  Can you believe in this time of tight budgets the average Federal Employee makes over $126K in salary and compensation!  Bloomberg has the details here.
Federal employees whose compensation averages more than $126,000 and the nation’s greatest concentration of lawyers helped Washington edge out San Jose as the wealthiest U.S. metropolitan area, government data show.  The U.S. capital has swapped top spots with Silicon Valley, according to recent Census Bureau figures, with the typical household in the Washington metro area earning $84,523 last year. The national median income for 2010 was $50,046.
The figures demonstrate how the nation’s political and financial classes are prospering as the economy struggles with unemployment above 9 percent and thousands of Americans protest in the streets against income disparity, said Kevin Zeese, director of Prosperity Agenda, a Baltimore-based advocacy group trying to narrow the divide between rich and poor.
“There’s a gap that’s isolating Washington from the reality of the rest of the country,” Zeese said. “They just get more and more out of touch.” Total compensation for federal workers, including health care and other benefits, last year averaged $126,369, compared with $122,697 in 2009, according to Bloomberg News calculations of Commerce Department data. There were 170,467 federal employees in the District of Columbia as of June. The Washington area includes the District of Columbia, parts of Northern Virginia, eastern Maryland and eastern West Virginia.

The Big Lie "Heard the one about Gov't spending going down"?

Amazing but true.  Despite all the talk and rhetoirc the fact is that Government spending at all levels is UP in 2011.  Go figure...

Posted 10/17/2011 03:06 PM ET
When Republicans took control of the House in January, they pledged to make deep cuts in federal spending, and in April they succeeded in passing a bill advertised as cutting $38 billion from fiscal 2011's budget. Then in August, they pushed for a deal to cut an additional $2.4 trillion over the next decade.
Some analysts have blamed these spending cuts for this year's economic slowdown.
But data released by the Treasury Department on Friday show that, so far, there haven't been any spending cuts at all.
Higher Spending, Deficits
In fact, in the first nine months of this year, federal spending was $120 billion higher than in the same period in 2010, the data show. That's an increase of almost 5%. And deficits during this time were $23.5 billion higher.
These spending hikes haven't stopped many analysts from claiming that the country is in an age of budget austerity, one that's hurting economic growth.
A July article in USA Today, for example, claimed that "Already in 2011, softer government spending has sapped growth."
Jared Bernstein, former chief economic adviser to Vice President Biden, wrote over the summer that "government spending cutbacks have been a large drag on growth in recent quarters and have led to sharp losses in state and local employment."
Economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman argued in September that "the turn toward austerity (is) a major factor in our growth slowdown."
If government spending is related to growth, as these and others claim, then the economy presumably should be growing faster, not slower, given the current higher rates of federal outlays.
State Spending Higher Too
Nor does the claim that state governments sharply cut spending stand up well to closer scrutiny.
Overall state spending continued to climb right through the recession, when all money from state general funds and other funds, federal grants and state bonds is combined.
Total state outlays in 2010 were almost 10% higher than in 2008, according to the National Association of State Budget Officers' annual State Expenditure Report.
And general fund spending — which makes up about 40% of total state spending — is expected to climb 5.2% in 2011 and 2.6% next year, according to the association's latest survey.

William Bennett: "Have we forgotten how to Raise Boys into Men"

Wow!  William J. Bennet hits the nail on the head with this superlative article detailing the plight of men today... Pass it on please!

Published October 14, 2011
| FoxNews.com
Fashioning men has never been easy, but today it seems particularly tough. Boys need heroes to embody the everlasting qualities of manhood: honor, duty, valor, and integrity. Without such role models, boys will naturally choose perpetual childhood over the rigors of becoming a man—as many women, teachers, coaches, employers, and adults in authority can quickly attest to today.
Too many boys and men waste time in pointless and soulless activities, unmindful of their responsibilities, uncaring in their pursuits. Have we forgotten how to raise men, how to lead our boys into manhood?
In "The Book of Man," I try to chart a clearer course, offering a positive, encouraging, uplifting, realizable idea of manhood, redolent of history and human nature, and practical for contemporary life.
For boys to become men they need to be guided, through advice, habit, instruction, example, and correction. It is true in all ages.
Someone once characterized the two essential questions Plato posed as: Who teaches the children, and what do we teach them? When the older generation fails to properly teach the younger males (and females) coming behind them, trouble surely follows.
Today, for the first time in history, women are better educated, more ambitious, and arguably more successful than men. Society has rightly celebrated the ascension of women. We said, “You go, girl” and they went. We praise the rise of women but what will we do about what appears to be the very real decline of men?
The data shows that there is trouble with men today. In 1970, men earned 60% of all college degrees. In 1980, the figure fell to 50%, by 2006 it was 43%. Women now surpass men in college degrees by almost three to two. Women's earnings grew 44% from 1970 to 2007, compared with 6% growth for men. In 1950, five percent of men at the prime working age were unemployed. Today twenty percent are not working, the highest ever recorded.

Throw Rocks:

Suicide of a Superpower

As featured on Drudge yesterday.  Patrick J Buchannan's latest details how the Western Civilization is likely doomed.  Scary stuff here folks...

**Exclusive**

"As the faith that gave birth to the West is dying in the West, peoples of European descent from the steppes of Russia to the coast of California have begun to die out, as the Third World treks north to claim the estate. The last decade provided corroborating if not conclusive proof that we are in the Indian Summer of our civilization."

So begins Pat Buchanan in his hardcore work,
SUICIDE OF A SUPERPOWER.

"Will America Survive to 2025?"

Buchanan, set for maximum controversy, launches all rockets at introduction "Disintegrating Nation" -- and does not let up for 400-plus pages.

"America is disintegrating. The centrifugal forces pulling us apart are growing inexorably. What unites us is dissolving. And this is true of Western Civilization....Meanwhile, the state is failing in its most fundamental duties. It is no longer able to defend our borders, balance our budgets, or win our wars."

The books reads as if its been written to be left behind in the ruins, only to be found by a future civilization.

It streets on Tuesday.

Now only the DRUDGE REPORT can offer a look inside.

Chapter 1: The Passing of a Superpower

We have accepted today the existence in perpetuity of a permanent underclass of scores of millions who cannot cope and must be carried by society -- fed, clothed, housed, tutored, medicated at taxpayer?s expense their entire lives. We have a dependent nation the size of Spain in our independent America. We have a new division in our country, those who pay a double or triple fare, and those who ride forever free.?

Chapter 2. The End of Christian America

If [Christopher] Dawson is correct, the drive to de-Christianize America, to purge Christianity from the public square, public schools and public life, will prove culturally and socially suicidal for the nation.

The last consequence of a dying Christianity is a dying people. Not one post-Christian nation has a birth rate sufficient to keep it alive....The death of European Christianity means the disappearance of the European tribe, a prospect visible in the demographic statistics of every Western nation.?

Chapter 3. The Crisis of Catholicism

Half a century on, the disaster is manifest. The robust and confident Church of 1958 no longer exists. Catholic colleges and universities remain Catholic in name only. Parochial schools and high schools are closing as rapidly as they opened in the 1950s. The numbers of nuns, priests and seminarians have fallen dramatically. Mass attendance is a third of what it was. From the former Speaker of the House to the Vice President, Catholic politicians openly support abortion on demand.?

How can Notre Dame credibly teach that all innocent life is sacred, and then honor a president committed to ensuring that a woman?s right to end the life of her innocent child remains sacrosanct??

Chapter 4. The End of White America

[W]hite America is an endangered species. By 2020, whites over 65 will out-number those 17 and under. Deaths will exceed births. The white population will begin to shrink and, should present birth rates persist, slowly disappear.?

Mexico is moving north. Ethnically, linguistically and culturally, the verdict of 1848 is being over-turned. Will this Mexican nation within a nation advance the goals of the Constitution -- to insure domestic tranquility? and ?make us a more perfect union?? Or have we imperiled our union?? (Page 134)

Chapter 5. Demographic Winter

Peoples of European descent are not only in a relative but a real decline. They are aging, dying, disappearing. This is the existential crisis of the West.? (Page 166)

Not any Iranian weapon of mass destruction but demography is the existential crisis Israel faces....By mid-century...Palestinians west of the Jordan river will out-number Jews 2-1. Add Palestinians in Jordan, it is 3-1.?

In a startling development of history, Russia?s population has fallen from 148 million in 1991 to 140 million today and is projected to plunge to 116 million by 2050, a loss of 32 million Russians in six decades.?

Chapter 6. Equality Vs. Freedom

Those who would change society begin by changing the meaning of words. At Howard University, LBJ changed the meaning of equality from the attainable -- an end to segregation and a legislated equality of rights for African-Americans -- to the impossible: a socialist utopia.?

Where equality is enthroned, freedom is extinguished. The rise of the egalitarian society means the death of the free society.?

A time for truth. As most kids do not have the athletic ability to play high school sports, or the musical ability to play in the band, or the verbal ability to excel in debate, not every child has the academic ability to do high school work. No two children are created equal, not even identical twins. The family is the incubator of inequality and God its author.?

Chapter 7. The Diversity Cult

The non-Europeanization of America is heartening news of an almost transcendental quality,? Wattenberg trilled.4 Yet, one wonders: What kind of man looks with transcendental joy to a day when the people among whom he was raised have become a minority in a nation where the majority rules??

Historians will look back in stupor at 20th and 21st century Americans who believed the magnificent republic they inherited would be enriched by bringing in scores of millions from the failed states of the Third World.?

Chapter 8: The Triumph Of Tribalism

America's war of revenge against Japan was a race war. Newsreels, movies, magazines, comic books, headlines treated ?Japs? as a repulsive race whose extermination would benefit mankind....Only well after the war was over was it re-branded a war to bring the blessings of democracy to...Japan.

We may deny the existence of ethnonationalism, detest it, condemn it. But this creator and destroyer of empires and nations is a force infinitely more powerful than globalism, for it engages the heart. Men will die for it. Religion, race, culture and tribe are the four horsemen of the coming apocalypse.

Chapter 9. The White Party?

Through its support of mass immigration, its paralysis in power to prevent 12-20 million illegal aliens from entering and staying, its failure to address the anchor-baby? issue, the Republican Party has birthed a new electorate that will send it the way of the Whigs.?

Chapter 10: The Long Retreat

?We borrow from Europe to defend Europe. We borrow from the Gulf states to defend the Gulf states. We borrow from Japan to defend Japan. Is it not a symptom of senility to be borrowing from the world so we can defend the world??

Are vital U.S. interests more imperiled by what happens in Iraq where were have 50,000 troops, or Afghanistan where we have 100,000, or South Korea where we have 28,000 -- or by what is happening on our border with Mexico?...What does it profit America if we save Anbar and lose Arizona??

Chapter 11: The Last Chance?  We are trying to create a nation that has never before existed, of all the races, tribes, cultures and creeds of Earth, where all are equal. In this utopian drive for the perfect society of our dreams we are killing the real country we inherited -- the best and greatest country on earth.?

Fox News 117 - State Controlled Media 0

Cable TV Rankings.  Amazing but true.  Fox News has been the #1 Cable TV News Channel for an amazing 39 consecutive quarters (that's 117 months liberals)!  Wow!!  Fox News continues to dominate the State Sponsored Media month after month, year after year.  The specifics:
While we pay a lot of attention to the ongoing battle for the number two spot in the cable news rankings, the indisputable heavyweight champ is the one that just celebrated it’s 15th anniversary in grand fashion. Despite some rather significant transitions in their team of on-air talent — Glenn Beck‘s departure and Megyn Kelly‘s return from maternity lead — Fox News had a remarkable third quarter in ratings.
Covering cable new ratings is a tricky wicket. As we’ve stated many times before, the more trends in viewers (who is moving up and down) seems a far more compelling narrative than who is simply attracting the most viewers. Part of the reason why trending viewer is more interesting is that for nearly the last decade, there has been one “winner” of “most viewers” title: Fox News. So the fact that they are getting the best ratings isn’t necessarily news anymore, but the fact that they’ve been so dominant for so long is actually noteworthy.
RELATED: NY Times Buries The Lede: Anderson Cooper’s Ratings Surge At 8PM
Some specifics: FNC has been the most-watched news channel for 39 consecutive quarters in total viewers for both Total Day and Primetime since 1Q’02. Fox News also secured the top 12 cable news programs in total viewers and nine out of the top 10 programs in the 25-54 demo. Perhaps most stunning, in both primetime and total day, Fox News beat CNN and MSNBC combined in total viewers.26, CNN was #29 and HLN was #30. During total day, FNC was the seventh most-watched cable network, meanwhile CNN was #27, HLN was #29 and MSNBC was #32
The third quarter also saw a number of programming highlights for Fox News. To wit, Shepard Smith’s nightly newscast, The Fox Report, wass the #5 ranked program in all of cable news with both P2+ and 25-54. Red Eye, the late night 3am chat fest program, led by Greg Gutfeld, had its highest quarter EVER in 3Q’11 with both P2+ and 25-54. The 3AM program beats key shows on other networks including John King USA on CNN at 7PM. And finally Fox and Friends continued to post year-to-year growth (up 9% in 25-54; up 4% in P2+) while beating MSNBC’s Morning Joe and CNN’s American Morning combined in both P2+ and 25-54. (American Morning is down 7% in P2+ and down 3% in 25-54).

Rush gives a very heartfelt tribute to the genius and greatness of Apple Co-founder Steve Jobs here.  Very few people actually change the world.  Steve Jobs did:

Occupy Wall St. "List of the Protestors Demands"

Amazing.  Below is the list of demands by the Occupy Wall Street mob.
Demand one:  Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending “Freetrade” by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.
Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.
Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
Demand four: Free college education.
Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six:
One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America’s nuclear power plants.
Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.
Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.
Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the “Books.” And I don’t mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.
Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.
Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.
These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

RIP - Steve Jobs Tribute: 1955 - 2021

Apple Computer's Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement address in 2005.  Jobs talks about life, death and even getting fired from the company he started.  Awesome speech!!!
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 1960′s, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: it was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.
Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

BREAKING: Sarah Palin announces that she is NOT running for President:

Today Governor Sarah Palin announced that she will not be running for president in 2012.  She made this announcement on the Mark Levin Show.

The BEST editorial page you will find:

is Investor's Business Daily IBD publishes easy-to-read editorials that clearly show the benefits of Free Markets and Capitalism.  A sampling:

Scandal:  A major-league pitcher was indicted for lying to Congress about steroid use. Administration memos show Eric Holder lied about what he knew about Fast and Furious and when he knew it. What's the difference?

Responsibility:  The president admits that Americans are not better off than they were four years ago — a fact he can hardly deny. But he steadfastly refuses to own up and take blame for his policy failures.

War On Terror:  As al-Qaida cues up a post-mortem screed by Anwar Awlaki, sympathetic media are doing their own martyring. They claim U.S. warmongering made the terror traitor angry.

Energy:  Environmentalists are making a last stand against the Keystone XL pipeline with a scare campaign about groundwater. Time to review the facts and let the project proceed.

Supreme Court:  Forget unconvincing liberal demands that Clarence Thomas recuse himself from the ObamaCare case because his wife is a Tea Partyer. Ex-Obama operative Elena Kagan has a true conflict.

Politics:  Damned as an "outrage" in the press, Bank of America's just-announced $5 monthly fee for ATM use was a logical and predictable result of a Dodd- Frank financial bill that fixed prices. Guess who gets to pay for it?

Yet more Liberal Hatred and Racism - GOP Black Candidate called "N*gger and Uncle Tom"

Big Hat to to P/OED Patriot.  Outside a St Louis Tea Party Rally a Black GOP Candidate was called a N*gger and an Uncle Tom.  Amazing - if a Black Democrat was called this it would be leading the News Cycle for weeks.

From P/OED Patriot:
During the President's recent visit to St. Louis, the St. Louis Tea Party and other Conservative Groups protested an Obama fundraiser held at Tom Carnahan's mansion (Congressman Russ Carnahan's Brother).

During that protest Martin Baker, GOP Congressional Candidate for Missouri District One, was confronted by Obama Supporters, one of whom called him an "Uncle Tom Ni**er".

Here is a picture taken shortly after the racial slur incident (Compliments of the Keyboard Militia):

Isn't that a great example of tolerance?
