Israel has been the victim of incoming rocket fire for several weeks now in violation of a cease fire between Hamas and the state of Israel. On Saturday Israel began a series of air strikes to retaliate. But with 200 mortars and rockets raining down on Israel since the truce expired a week ago, and 3,000 since the beginning of the year, according to the military’s count, pressure had been mounting in Israel for the military to crush the gunmen. I hope that Israel keeps it up. They unfortunately must speak in a language that Hamas understands.
This seems like a rerun of a bad TV show. I always say that I hope Israel will end it this time. They never to really clobber their enemies. It always comes back to haunt them.
