It is the biggest sporting event on the planet, it is the Super Bowl, the World Series and the NCAA Tournament rolled into one event. It will be watched by Billions of people in every country on Earth. It of course is the 2010 FIFA World Cup which for the very first time is being held in Africa with 32 countries participating. It is impossible to overstate the importance of the Cup on the rest of the world. Try having a conversation with your relative overseas. In all likelihood it will eventually turn to the Cup. And in the rest of the world it is referred to as Futbol not soccer.
