Should we be laughing or crying?

Words of wisdom by today's liberals.  Huge Hat Tip to Liberal Nut Company

Barack Obama - President of the United States

Quote: “… I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” October 2008 during Presidential campaign.

Liberal Nut Editorial: A rare moment when Pres. Obama spoke from the heart after Joe the Plumber asked a tough question. You can bet Rahm won't permit impromptu moments again without a teleprompter and canned scripts. Would it be too much to ask if mainstream "journalists" could ask a few tough questions instead of needing Joe the Plummer to get the job done?

Hillary Clinton - Secretary of State

Quote: "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.“ June 2004 , on repealing Bush tax cuts

Liberal Nut Editorial: A true liberal nut views someone else's personal income as theirs to be confiscated. Most conservatives understand that tax revenues are not simply their unlimited supply of money to spend and re-distribute as they see fit, but instead understand it's first and foremost an individual taxpayer's hard earned property.

Nancy Pelosi - Speaker of the House of Representatives

Quote: "If people are ripping your face off, you have to rip their face off."

Liberal Nut Editorial:  Not your ordinary grandmother. As a good Catholic girl growing up, Nancy somehow missed the gospel on turning the other cheek. Like her back room payoffs for tax-funded abortions in Obamacare, Nancy practices what she feels like preaching.

William Ayers - Professor of Education at University of Illinois at Chicago

Quote: "I don't regret setting bombs...I feel we didn't do enough."  2001 NY Times Interview

Liberal Nut Editorial:  Only in America.  An unrepentant,  self-confessed terrorist not only walks our streets, but as a tenured professor, smugly teaches our future generation about the new revolution of Hope and Change.

Harry Reid - Senate Majority Leader

Quote: "Now, I myself believe that this (Iraq) war is lost, that the surge is not accomplishing anything."

Liberal Nut Editorial:  Inspirational. Aside from how wrong he was, Sen. Reid couldn't lead a 6th grade soccer team to victory. How'd he get to be Senate Majority Leader?

Rahm Emanuel - White House Chief of Staff

Quote: "Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before."

Liberal Nut Editorial: Every day brings a new crisis where more government and unions are the answer. To name a few, there's the economic crisis which results in $825 billion "stimulus" in which all but $90 billion is pork to pay off unions and buy votes. There's the auto crisis that resulted in government takeover of GM and Chrysler with payoffs to unions. There's the health care crisis which results in government takeover of healthcare and more power for the service employees union.  There's the BP oil crisis that will be manipulated to slow oil drilling and drive energy costs up. There's the Mexican border crisis which will result in wholesale amnesty and adding millions of illegal voters to the Democratic party.  What's the next crisis Rahm?

Al Gore - Former Vice President

Quote: "As many know, the Chinese expression for "crisis" consists of two characters side by side. The first is the symbol for "danger," the second the symbol for "opportunity." Al Gore - An Inconvenient Truth

Liberal Nut Editorial:  (Sound familiar to #6 Rahm Emanuel?) Al Gore sounds the global warming danger alarm while secretly capitalizing on  the golden opportunities.  Danger doesn't stop Mr. Gore from capitalizing on book royalties, speaking fees and soon to be "Cap and Trade" opportunities.  Our former public servant lives comfortably, private jetting and spewing carbon in his new $9 million California mansion

Maxine Waters - Congresswoman (D - CA)

Quote: "Guess what this liberal would be all about? …basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies.“ May 22, 2008  to oil executives

Liberal Nut Editorial:  To date there is no retraction from this 10 term career politician.  At least Maxine is forthcoming and isn't afraid to tell us where she stands. Better than most liberals who keep the agenda closer to the vest.

Joe Biden - Vice President

Quote: "Now, people look at me and say, 'What are you talking about Joe? You're telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?' The answer is yes, that's what I'm telling you."

Liberal Nut Editorial:  So the Europeans were laughing at George Bush? Here's a news flash: The people are still asking "What are you talking about Joe?"

Barney Frank - Congressman (D - MA)

Quote: "Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not facing any kind of financial crisis....” in 2003 to White House critics of subsidized housing practices

Liberal Nut Editorial:  Before the mortgage meltdown, federal bailout and takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Barney Frank dismissed warnings from the White House and Greenspan of impending trouble and need for increased oversight.  Barney and most Democrats voted against more regulation.  (Today they take great pains to blame Bush.) video

Bill Clinton - Former President

Quote: "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is." 1998 Monica Lewinsky Trial

Liberal Nut Editorial:  Bill Clinton's comments to the grand jury in the Monica Lewinsky trial earned him the infamous title of "Slick".  I'll post the entire thought and let you decide:  "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

John Kerry - Senator  (D - MA)

Quote: ''I actually did vote for the $87 billion, before I voted against it.” March 2004

Liberal Nut Editorial:  After previously voting for a congressional resolution authorizing military action in Iraq, it was all downhill from there when Kerry and fellow liberals painfully attempted to distance themselves from their previous votes and portray the Iraq war as all President Bush's fault.

Rod Blogojevich - Former Governor of Illinois

Quote: “.. I'm just not giving it up for [expletive] nothing” Audio tape on how he planned to auction Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat. December 2008

Liberal Nut Editorial:  What can you really say that he hasn't?  Just another day in Chicago politics.

Janet Napolitano - Secretary of Homeland Security

Quote: “…What I’d like to point out is that the system worked.” After underpants bomber  failed to blow up 12/25/09 flight from Amsterdam to Detroit.

Liberal Nut Editorial:  This would be funny except Janet wasn't joking.  Umar Abdulmutallab breezed through airport security with a plastic explosives bomb, even though he was on a U.S. National Counterterrorism Center watch list and on U.S. lists as having ties to both al-Qaeda and Yemen. The only "system" that worked was a Dutch passenger who tackled him after his bomb failed to explode.

Michael Moore - Filmmaker,  New York, New York

Quote: "The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy'. They are the revolution, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow - and they will win."

Liberal Nut Editorial:  In the good old days we'd lock Mr. Moore up for treason. Where was Mr. Moore and his deep compassion when Saddam was mustard gassing Kurds and filling 270 mass graves with the bodies of 400,000 Iraqi Shiites?

Bill Maher - Political Talk Show Host

Quote: "I think flying planes into a building was a faith based initiative. I think religion is a neurological disorder."

Liberal Nut Editorial:  Just one of many sad quotes from a human who sees every tragedy as a soundbite opportunity and a new chance for a cheap shot at religion and faith in God.
