February Cable TV Ratings:

The February 2011 Cable TV Ratings are out and they are interesting.  For the 110th straight month Fox News dominated its competition finishing in First Place among the most watched news channel.  USA Network is #1 overall.  Other findings:
“Special Report with Bret Baier” was the #2 cable news show in total viewers, and #5 with younger viewers while “FOX Report with Shepard Smith” was #5 in total viewers and #3 with younger viewers. “The O’Reilly Factor” remains #1 in both categories.
In Primetime (8-11pm Mon-Fri), Fox News topped MSNBC, CNN and HLN combined in total viewers. In Total Day, the network beat CNN and MSNBC combined in total viewers. The network, however, is down year-over year: -12% in total viewers and down -14% in A25-54 viewers in primetime (Mon-Fri); and down -14% in total viewers and -17% in younger viewers in total day (Mon-Sun).

Interesting Findings:
  • MSNBC finished in 26th Place - behind the Travel Network and BET.
  • CNN finished in 29th Place - behind Hallmark Channel and Bravo.

Fox would be in last place in any other country.
