Video: Why is Grover Norquist being blamed for Super Committee failure:
Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform in amazingly being blamed for the failures of the Super Committee. Wolf Bliter of CNN interviewed him on The Situation Room:

Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) was recently on Face the Nation, said that Obama appeared to be staying away from the super committee, expressed concern that Obama wasn't taking a leadership role when he needed to, and doesn't appear to be too pleased with Obama's lack of leadership.
In the end, Obama phoned it in.
When campaigning for the presidency, Obama said that taxes needed to be raised on the rich. A few months ago, though, Obama said that you shouldn't raise taxes in a recession. Now he is for raising taxes again. How convenient.
Manchin - a maverick - is riding the straight-talk express, while Obama is awol and riding the full-campaign-mode express.
