SWEET HOME CHICAGO: Chicago Murder Rate tops in 9 years.

While we all should, and do, mourn the murders in Aurora, CO Redeye has been keeping track of the number of murders, as well as location and more metrics on their homepage.

So far in July 37 people have been murdered in Chicago this month.  That works out to nearly 500 deaths for 2012 if that trend continues!  All this in the President's hometown.
