Shirley Temple Black R.I.P.
Shirley Temple, the actor, singer and dancer who became famous as a child star, has died aged 85, according to her family. Temple began her career at the age of three, becoming one of the most famous child stars of all time. She found early success with films such as Bright Eyes, Curly Top and Heidi, before leaving the film business in 1949. Temple was married twice, to John Agar in 1945 (when she was 17) and to US Navy veteran Charles Alden Black in 1950. She had a daughter with Agar, before their divorce in 1949. She married Black the next year and they had a son in 1952. The couple were together until Black's death in 2005.
