Because of the company's success and the fact that it employs so many young people, McDonald's has been a frequent target of the #FightFor15 minimum wage movement:

saw a clip on television of a young female macdonald's employee in a "raise the minimum wage at macdonald's" rally.
she was outraged that her pay from macdonald's was not enough to raise her child on and she had to live with her grandparents because she could not afford rent.
no mention of her child's father and his obligation to pay child support.
there is no realization among these ravening hordes that the companies for which they work are not obligated to provide for them.
they seem to see their employers as husbands or parents who are to be held responsible for their well-being .
they have no sense, and nobody is explaining these facts to them.
similarly, i once had a roommate who thought i should pay a larger share of the rent because my salary was larger!
it is the same 'principle'. pure marxism.
The endgame of our government is a completely dependent society and complete control. Get the "unwashed masses" to demand a $15.00 minimum wage. The wage goes up, and businesses fire the employees, or replace them with machines. The government then blames the masses for the problem, but ultimately gives them all they need without having to lift a finger. Both the government and the demanding ones get what they ultimately wanted. Even the businesses win, as they are either subsidized, or accommodated ("We accept EBT!"). The only losers are the people paying the bills, who, after a while, decide to join "the masses." The country ultimately collapses, and is rebuilt by those who were in government/big business, albeit without all of those pesky constitutional rights... 'See how it goes?
