I have to disagree on the closing statement here....the government is the only entity that CAN fix it. In states that have de-regulated power, the type of plants that are built are the ones that will make the most profit, not the ones that will actually supply power. Any fool can understand that economic supply and demand laws will raise prices during scarcity and that is exactly what a profit driven generation company wants.
