on October 11 - October 12, 2022. This will mark the first time that Amazon has held two Prime Days in a year. Get ready for Amazon Prime Day 2!
Via Daily Mail - Just as the summer deal season winds to a close, Amazon announced an early deal on holiday gifts targeting those hit by inflation.
The retail giant is planning a second Prime exclusive shopping day this year called 'Prime Early Access Sale', starting on October 11 at midnight Pacific Daylight Time and lasting 48 hours.
Fall is normally a quiet time for deal finders, with most biding their time until Black Friday and Cyber Monday on November 25 and 28.
Black Friday month...a month early?!' exclaimed Twitter user Jahranimo.
'Prime day on my birthday can't get any better than that', said another excited user.
Others said they were looking out for reduced prices on TVs, wanting to get their Christmas gifts in early.
Around 80% of Twitter users who answered a poll asking what category they would like to see discounted the most picked 'electronic goods'.
But others were less enthusiastic, having just bought items now on sale.
'So annoyed that I bought something yesterday and it's in the sale today!' said Facebook user Kerri Simpson.
Amazon's retail business had slowed down in recent months. And the shopping bonanza signals a recognition that it needs to provide more deals to inflation-hit consumers in what's expected to be a challenging holiday shopping season for retailers.
