Did any cars carrying LNG explode in the East Palestine train derailment? If not, what is the relevancy of LNG shipment regulations and this incident? If the tanker cars carrying LNG are sufficiently reinforced by the railroads this should be a non-issue. One would presume that safety regulations and inspections regarding the structure of LNG tankers would be the responsibility of the federal government since they would be used in interstate commerce.
