Of course it is a wonder drug. The sun is our friend and one of our many sources of nourishment. There is a reason they settled on 200IU as the added amount in milk. Its useless and doesn't make a difference beyond preventing rickets. It is not a high enough amount to actually reduce disease, illness, etc. and so doesn't hurt bigPharma and the medical cartel's profits. Every time it comes up, articles are dutifully dragged out saying how dangerous "too much" is, without ever mentioning that an hour in the sun for a light-skinned individual could generate several hundred thousand IUs with no issues. Too much for too long is a problem, but so is everything else. 50,000 IU per day when you are really sick might even be too low depending, but a maintenance dose of 5000 to 10000 IU per day is perfectly fine and highly beneficial.
