 Virginia moved HARD RIGHT (+ 12% R) Tuesday night - but it wasn't enough because . . . 

In November 2025 the Democrats won the Governor's Race 57.6% to 42.2% for a spread of over 15%.  Tuesday night - the Democratic "Yes" vote won by about 3%.

Thus there was a 12% point move to the GOP in all areas of Virginia. Southwest Virginia, the suburbs, the exurbs and the Tidewater region all moved strongly to more Republican. Many counties flipped from Blue to Red (Stafford, Spotsylvania, and Virginia Beach all flipped to Red - from Blue.

But it wasn't enough because Fairfax County and Loudoun Counties stayed (and moved) Blue.  Virginia is officially a Blue State.
